Welcome and thank you for visiting,
My name is Antonio Sandoval and I want to be your State Representative for House District 29.
In the past few years, the Westside has proven to be one of the fastest growing areas in New Mexico. The Westside is growing and thriving and will continue to do so as we welcome new families and new businesses to our streets and neighborhoods. According to the City’s Planned Growth Strategy, the Westside could see an additional 50,000 families moving into our community by 2020. And, as our community grows, it is important to have a State Representative who takes the energetic, responsive and proactive approach to address the growing needs of our community.
Day by day, our community is changing; it is becoming more distinct, more dynamic, and more diverse. In these changing times, our resources and priorities must take new shape as we prepare for the expansion of the Westside. With these changes, our schools, our roads, and our quality of life are at the heart of what is important to Westsiders. This is why every weekend, from now until Election Day, my campaign team and I will be visiting you--in your homes, on your porches, out on your front lawns--to listen to you and your concerns about these and the other important issues facing the Westside today. The concerns of District 29 have been long overlooked or become the victim of rash decisions. It is our duty to take the initiative that will lead to a strong and successful Westside, both today and for generations to come.
As a native Westsider, I have a vested and personal interest in working with you to make sure we provide that strong and successful community for the residents of District 29.
Sincerely,
Antonio Sandoval
Candidate for State Representative
New Mexico House of Representatives, District 29

Ground Breaking for the New Northwest High School

Thursday, 14 September 2006- During a late morning ceremony at the site of the new Northwest High School, many gathered to witness the ground breaking of the city's first high school in over twenty years.
Those in attendance were joyous that action is being taken, but were still aware that much work still needs to be done in regards to our school system. Cheryl Jorgensen, an active parent and member of the Bubble Gum Brigade was shocked to have not seen Antonio's opponent for the State House present at the ceremony. Many folks were disappointed and commented on the lack of responsiveness from their elected official on an issue as important as the construction of new schools.

Are Westside tax dollars actually going to Westside projects?
Do you know where our state tax dollars are going? Are they being used to improve our community? As a native Westsider, that is exactly what Antonio Sandoval would like to know.
As part of an ongoing project, Antonio is researching New Mexico State Legislature Outlay Requests sponsored by District 29's current representation to see where our money is being spent.
